AboutHelping Hands is an after-school club at Sunset High School. Our club members volunteer with diverse age groups in our community: children and senior citizens in memory care. Every month, we interact with them through activities, such as arts and crafts, games, storytelling, dances, lunch dates, and more!

Our Partnerships
Fieldstone Cornell Landing
Fieldstone Cornell Landing is a senior living center. This senior house makes the memory care and assisted living residents' more enjoyable, and a part of that is through visits from high school volunteer groups like Helping Hands. In person, we have done arts and crafts, baked, and played trivia and board games with the lovely seniors. During this virtual year, we host step-by-step arts and craft masterclasses and one-on-one lunch dates with them.

Local Elementary Schools
Every month, local elementary schools market Zoom parties to their students and families, so high schoolers can lead fun virtual stations with the elementary students. Some schools include Jacob Wismer, Barnes, Cedar Mill, and Kinnamon Elementary. During these Zoom parties, we lead activites like arts and crafts, games, storytelling, dances, and more!
